SkillBites’ mission is to make it as easy and convenient as possible for business owners and professionals to write, publish and prosper from their business book.  In that regard, we not only offer services to help people get their books written, published, promoted and leveraged; we also offer resources such as our podcast, blog and newsletter.  In this month’s podcast, for instance, my guest is Shadeed Eleazer, who will be sharing how you can license the content of your book to companies and earn extra income from your book.  In the tips section of this newsletter, you can learn about a great tool for creating striking images of your book cover that you can use on social media, your website and other marketing materials.  I am currently planning on adding a new area to the website offering a resource center for people to find a host of resources to help them with their book.  Stay tuned!

Publishing Profits Workshop

On May 9, I’ll be hosting a workshop called Publishing Profits:  Create A Path To Your Book’s Success.  It’s for business owners and professionals who want to publish a book (or have already published a book) to be known as a thought leader, grow their business, generate more leads, get speaking engagements or other business objectives.  In this 90 minute workshop, you’ll actually put together a plan for how you will use your book to gain the results you are seeking.

When you know why you want to write a book and how you will use your book, you’ll have the focus to get your book done and the steps to achieve the results you are seeking.

Figuring out how to carve out the time to write a book is one of the biggest challenges facing business owners who want to publish a book.  On May 16, I’ll be hosting a workshop called It’s About Time … To Write Your Book.  In this ninety minute workshop, you’ll develop your plan for how you will get your book done.  For more information and to sign up, click here.

Fastrack Your Book

For those of you who are struggling to get your book written, I’ve developed a program that will provide the knowledge, guidance, support and accountability you need to write your book.  I’ll be running the Fastrack Your Book program, meeting for 90 minutes twice a month, as well as office hours for asking questions and getting feedback.  The program is specifically designed to help business owners and professionals get their book written. The program will be starting soon.  How long have you been working on your book?  If you want your book published with copies in hand by year end, this program will help you get there.  If you are interested, email me or call me so we can have a conversation and make sure you are a good fit.

2.  New Author

5. Tip of the Month: Book Images

I recently came across a cool app for creating book images to us on your website, landing pages, social media, book marks, testimonials, promo videos, emails and other marketing material.  It even allows you to create images containing the covers of multiple books that you have published.  The app is called MockUpShots.com, which provides over 600 images and is incredibly easy to use.  I’ve provided a few samples of images of the book covers of two SkillBites’ clients:
